1. Scope of Agreement & Service Definitions
These Terms of Service ("Agreement") govern the access, query parameters, telemetry APIs, and parcel tracking data provided by ShippingStatus Global Logistics Network, LLC ("ShippingStatus", "we", "our", or "us"). By entering a tracking identifier, order reference, or utilizing our verified transit services, you ("User", "Shipper", or "Consignee") agree to be bound by these carriage conditions.
ShippingStatus operates an independent parcel transit telemetry, optical scanning, and chain-of-custody verification network. All transit milestone telemetry displayed on this platform represents verified scans recorded at automated gateways, regional distribution centers, and mobile courier endpoints.
2. Transit Telemetry & Estimated Delivery Schedules
Tracking telemetry is synchronized in real time with our automated sortation matrix and regional gateway ledgers. Estimated delivery dates (such as guaranteed transit windows) are calculated based on line-haul intermodal capacity, route optimization algorithms, and standard ground transport parameters.
While ShippingStatus maintains a 99.85% on-schedule transit rate across our six national hub corridors, delivery schedules may be adjusted due to force majeure events, severe weather advisories, mandatory customs or transportation safety inspections, or public holiday carrier schedules.
3. Chain of Custody & Direct Adult Signature Verification
For shipments designated as high-value, sensitive, or insured merchandise:
- Mandatory Photo Identification: A government-issued photo identification (Driver's License, State ID, or Passport) confirming the recipient is 18 years of age or older must be presented upon physical delivery.
- No Unattended Releases: Couriers are contractually prohibited from leaving signature-required parcels on porches, doorsteps, or with unauthorized third parties.
- Delivery Attempts: If an authorized adult is unavailable, the parcel will be securely returned to the nearest local dispatch station for re-delivery on the subsequent operational business day.
4. Declared Value, Insurance & Claims Filing
Parcels processed through the Global Priority Insured Express tier include declared value transit coverage (up to the maximum verified valuation indicated on the digital shipment manifest, typically $899.00 USD).
In the event of verified transit loss, physical seal tampering, or non-delivery confirmed by our GPS custodial audit, claims must be initiated within thirty (30) calendar days of the scheduled delivery date by contacting dispatch support at [email protected].
5. Prohibited Activities & Automated Ledger Abuse
Users agree not to utilize automated screen scrapers, denial-of-service bots, or high-concurrency automated scripts targeting the tracking endpoint. Our global rate limiter enforces standard query quotas (up to 180 requests per 60-second sliding window per IP) to protect telemetry integrity for legitimate consumers and dispatch agents.
6. Governing Law & Arbitration
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey and applicable federal transportation statutes of the United States. Any disputes arising from tracking verification or carriage services shall be resolved through binding commercial arbitration in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey.
